Maximum level that a player character can reach.
The maximum level for a FINAL FANTASY XI character is level 99. If your character has reached level 99, it will not gain any more experience, but it will be possible to obtain Capacity Points and Job Points. These points can be used to unlock additional traits and bonuses, referred to in-game as gifts, for your job.
