Restoring characters that have been deleted without any reason

First, please make sure that no one in your immediate vicinity, such as family, friends, or acquaintances had access to the account. We also ask that you confirm that no one such as friends or acquaintances had access to the account in the past.

Please note that you assume all responsibility for the management of the account, including the management of the PlayOnline ID and password.

If you still feel that it was not possible for anyone to have had access to the account, then please change your PlayOnline Password via the SQUARE ENIX Account Management website.

Conditions for Recovery
- At best, the character can be restored to its immediate pre-deletion state.
- We cannot return any item(s) that was on auction at the Auction House and or in the delivery box.
- This request is only possible once per PlayOnline ID.
- Character(s) deleted more than 3 months ago are ineligible for this service.
- The exact same Content ID slot the deleted character was created from needs to be open. If there currently is a created character in the specific Content ID slot, the request will fail.
- If the petitioner or another player has created another character with the same name, then the name of the restored character will need to be changed.
- It takes several business days for the operation to be completed.
- The success of a character restoration request is not guaranteed, but we will make every reasonable attempt to do so.

If you would like to submit a request to have a deleted character restored, please send an inquiry by filling out the following Game Data Recovery form.
