If I want to remove one of my characters and create a new one, will I have to pay extra?

If you delete a character and replace it with a new one, there will be no additional fees incurred. If you wish to leave all your current characters as-is and add a new one to your roster, please perform the following steps:

1.) Log in to the SQUARE ENIX Account Management System
2.) Select "FINAL FANTASY XI" to proceed to the FINAL FANTASY XI service page.
3.) Select "Options List" on the menu.
4.) Select the PlayOnline ID that you wish to add a character to.
5.) Review the agreement displayed on the screen, and agree to its conditions to add a new character.

NOTE:
- Additional characters will cost an USD $1.00 per 30-day billing cycle.
