Depending on your platform and version, there are a number of places to download the official client for Final Fantasy XIV. This client, unless otherwise noted, is used for FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn and all related expansions. No separate client download is necessary to play the expansions.

■ Windows

Please visit https://sqex.to/ffxiv_client_en to download the official Windows client for Final Fantasy XIV.

■ Steam

Please go to your Steam Library and download Final Fantasy XIV directly through the Steam client.

Please note, if you download either the Windows or Steam client and receive a message aftering logging in regarding an inactive subscription, even if you have confirmed you have an active subscription, you may be playing on the incorrect platform. Please check the Mog Station (www.mogstation.com) for your registered platform and download the appropriate client to be able to play.

■ Mac

Please visit https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/mac/download to download the official Mac client for Final Fantasy XIV.
*This client is used for both the full version and the Free Trial version of Final Fantasy XIV on Mac.

■ PlayStation®5 and PlayStation®4

Go to the PlayStation™Store and download the client directly from there.

■ Free Trial

To download the Free Trial client for your respective platform, please visit https://freetrial.finalfantasyxiv.com/na/ and sign in or sign up to select the proper platform. As a note, you are only able to play the Free Trial on a single platform.
