Will I be able to transfer my characters from the Free Trial over to the full version?

Yes, the characters created during your free trial will stay on the account after upgrading to the full version of the game. Please follow the instructions below to upgrade from the free trial:
 
How to Upgrade for the Windows, Steam, or Mac Versions

1. Purchase a registration code for either a physical or digital version of FINAL FANTASY XIV for Windows, Steam, or Mac.
2. Log in to the Mog Station (https://www.mogstation.com) using the SQUARE ENIX Account used during the free trial.
3. Click the "Transfer to Full Game" button shown on the free trial service account.
4. Follow the instructions to upgrade to the full version.

* Please note that Windows service accounts are incompatible with Steam registration codes and Steam service accounts are incompatible with Windows registration codes. While Windows and Mac free trials can be upgraded to the PlayStation 4 version (steps below) or vice versa, Steam free trial accounts must upgrade with a Steam registration code only. Please double check the version of the intended service account before purchasing a full version registration code.
 
How to Upgrade for the PlayStation®4 Version

1. Either purchase the digital download from the PlayStation Store, or obtain a registration code from the physical PlayStation®4 version of the game. If you purchase a physical copy, you will need to redeem the code found on an insert within the game case through the already linked PlayStation™Network.
2. Start the game client and log in using the SQUARE ENIX Account used during your free trial, then register the game to the service account by following the on screen prompts.
