Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use the same SQUARE ENIX account to play the Windows, PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, and Mac versions of FINAL FANTASY XIV?

Yes, it is possible to use the same SQUARE ENIX ID on multiple platforms. There are two ways of doing so:

To play the same character data on multiple platforms
Select the same service account when registering your registration code for the Windows, Mac, and Steam versions and when activating the game for the first time for the PlayStation®5 and PlayStation®4 versions.
*Please note that it is not possible to play on multiple platforms simultaneously using the same service account. Users may only play on one platform at a time.
*Please note that the Steam and Windows versions cannot be registered to the same service account.

To play with different character data on each platform
Register different service accounts when registering your registration code for the Windows, Mac, and Steam versions and when activating the PlayStation®5 and PlayStation®4 versions for the first time.
*Please note that if different service accounts are registered per platform, each service account can only be played on the platform they were registered on and cannot be played on other platforms.
*Please also note that multiple service accounts will require multiple concurrent subscriptions.

Note that registered service accounts cannot be changed later, so please register them carefully.
