Yes, push notifications, or Alerts/Alarms, can be configured through the "Community" and "Events" menus. Please refer to the steps below to configure Alerts or Alarms:

Chats: 1) Launch the app and log in again if necessary.
2) Tap the "Community" icon.

3) Select a chat that you wish to enable or disable alerts on.
4) Tap the menu "Ξ" button on the top right of the screen.
5) Toggle the "Alerts" on or off.

Talk Room (1-on-1): Alerts are toggled ON by default.
Chat Room (3 people or more): Alerts are toggled OFF by default.
*If Alerts are turned ON, a push notification will go out each time someone enters a comment in the chat. In addition, a notification will always go out if you are invited to a chat room.

Events:A notification will always go out for invitations and updates relating to events.
1) Launch the app and log in again if necessary.
2) Tap the "Events" icon.

3) Select an existing event that you wish to enable or disable an Alert/Alarm on.
4) Tap the menu "Ξ" button on the top right of the screen.
5) Under Alerts, select the amount of time you would like a push notification to be sent to your device prior to the event start time. The selections available are as follows: Off, Reminder, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, and 1 Hour. The default selection is "15 minutes."
