How do I change an account used for backing up data into a “Square Enix Account”?

If you have already backed up data with an SNS account, you can change the registered account used as a backup to a “SQUARE ENIX Account” by following the steps below.

 ▼How to change accounts
 1. If you do not have a “SQUARE ENIX Account”, use the URL below to create a new account.
  *Please use a web browser to do this.
   http://www.jp.square-enix.com/account/
 2. Select “Data Backup” from “Menu” on the home screen.
 3. Tap on “Open Page”
 4. Select “Change Accounts”
 5. Select “Back up with SQUARE ENIX Account”
6. Enter the information for the account created in step “1.”

After entering the account information, please register an e-mail address on the next screen.
An e-mail from Square Enix will be sent to the e-mail address you entered.
Access the URL in the e-mail to complete the registration.

*The next time the “Data Backup” screen is displayed, it will read “Game data backup has been completed”.

*If you do not receive the e-mail, please check the following.
・Please check the spam folder.
・If you set the domains from which e-mails can be received, please allow e-mails from “square-enix.com” to be received.
・Please check to be sure there are no mistakes in the e-mail address you entered.
・If the e-mail still doesn’t come after waiting for a while, please try once more.

■If you cannot log in using your SQUARE ENIX Account information, try using the e-mail address you registered to confirm your Square Enix ID and reset your password.

■If the e-mail with the verification code used for registering a new SQUARE ENIX Account or the e-mail used in resetting your password is not received, refer to the information below to see if you continue to not receive e-mails.

・There is the possibility that mails are not being received because of the amount of free space in your inbox or spam settings.
 Please check your spam folder and various settings.

・Some providers block e-mails on the e-mail server.
 If this is the case, please contact the administrator of your provider or e-mail server.

・If you set the domains from which e-mails can be received, please allow e-mails from “account.square-enix.com” to be received。

・Is there any chance that the e-mail software you are using is causing any complications?
