How do I perform an emergency removal of the Software Token/Software Authenticator?

The Emergency Removal Password allows you to forcibly remove a SQUARE ENIX Software Token or Software Authenticator application from the linked SQUARE ENIX account in situations where you can not log in with a one-time password, such as if your smartphone is lost or stolen. Please use caution with this service, as removing the Software Token or Software Authenticator in non-emergency situations will lower the account's security.

Please note that your Emergency Removal Password will need to be recorded beforehand, as it can only be seen after you log in to your SQUARE ENIX Account. For instructions on obtaining the Emergency Removal Password, please visit the following page: https://sqex.to/btruj

You can perform an Emergency Removal of the Software Token/Software Authenticator using the following instructions:

 1) Go to the Emergency Removal Page (https://secure.square-enix.com/account/app/svc/coercioncan) and enter your SQUARE ENIX ID, password, and Emergency Removal Password.
 2) Click the URL located within the automated email that will be sent to the registered email address.
 3) The Software Token will be removed once the URL has been accessed.

* Please note that the URL will become invalid after 60 minutes. If the URL has expired, the Emergency Removal process will need to be restarted.

If you lost the Emergency Removal Password, you will need to contact the SQUARE ENIX Support Center for assistance to remove the token from the account. Please use the form below to request support from the SQUARE ENIX Support Center.
