Wedding vows for Bastok

Below is the script for the wedding vows in Bastok.
The script also includes gestures that can be done during the ceremony. Please use this information as a reference.

[Bastok]
Beginning of the ceremony

Once the attendees are gathered, the registrar will send a message to the escort and couple. They shall then move to the entrance and prepare for their appearances.

Here, the registrar appears and announce the onset of the wedding. Then he will summon the new couple.

 Registrar: "Will the applicants step forward."

(Walking down the aisle, the bride on the left, groom on the right)

Escort shall lead the bride to the Registrar.
(Escort on the left, bride on the right)

The bride shall advance next to the groom, and the escort shall then move to the front row.

Once the couple is in position, the registrar starts the opening dialogue.

 Registrar: "Ahem."
            "In the name of the Republic, I now commence these proceedings."
            "Let me introduce the couple."

[groom] and [bride] shall then turn around to face the attendees.

Here, the registrar introduces the couple.

When the groom is being introduced, advance one step and bow once. At the last part of the introduction after the registrar speaks out the name of the groom, "The groom, [Name]!", please step back to the position.

Following the introduction of the bride. This is the same as the groom.

When the registrar introduces the bride, she shall advance a step and bow once, and step back after her name is spoken out, "The bride, [Name]!"

When the introduction is over, the registrar continues his dialogue.

[groom] and [bride] shall turn to face the registrar.

 Registrar: "Now I will read a prepared statement from the president."

            "I have been informed that today, one of our fine citizens and one of"
            "our trusted allies have gathered to join together as one."
            "This union is of much importance to the future of our two nations,"
            "if not the future of all Vana'diel, and I am honored to give my consent."

            "Heated mythril is soft; its shape easily changed."
            "However, as it cools, mythril becomes hard and strong."
            "My wish is for this couple to forge their bond while it is still in the flames of passion"
            "And ultimately render it stronger than the most magnificent of metals."
            "[groom], ever be faithful to your new wife."
            "And [bride], ever be faithful to your new husband."

            "--President of the Republic of Bastok, Hrichter Karst."

[groom] and [bride] will be asked to face each other.

 Registrar:"Face each other."

Groom and bride may change their direction to face each other. The registrar will then starts to question the new couples.

First, he will question the groom.

 Registrar: "[groom], please repeat after me."

Groom shall reply "Yes", please repeat after the registrar onwards.
(Note: Please make sure to speak out after the registrar.)

IF THE GROOM IS FROM BASTOK:

In abidance with the laws of the Republic,
I, [groom], take this woman, [bride],
to be my lawfully wedded wife.
To have and to hold,
In sickness and in health,
Till death do us part.

IF THE GROOM IS FROM SAN D'ORIA:

On my honor, I, [groom],
pledge to stand by [bride]'s side.
In times of war and times of peace,
For better or for worse,
Till death do us part.

IF THE GROOM IS FROM WINDURST:

Here, beneath the vast sky,
I, [groom], take this woman, [bride],
to be my wife and soul mate.
You are the sun that warms my heart,
and the moon that guides me through the darkness.
Till death do us part.

Registrar then should question the bride.

 Registrar: "[Bride], please repeat after me."

The bride shall reply "Yes", please repeat after the registrar onwards.
(Note: Please make sure to speak out after the registrar.)

IF THE BRIDE IS FROM BASTOK:

In abidance with the laws of the Republic,
I, [bride], take this man, [groom],
to be my lawfully wedded husband.
To have and to hold,
In sickness and in health,
Till death do us part.

IF THE BRIDE IS FROM SAN D'ORIA:

On my honor, I, [bride],
pledge to stand by [groom]'s side.
In times of war and times of peace,
For better or for worse,
Till death do us part.

IF THE BRIDE IS FROM WINDURST:

Here, beneath the vast sky,
I, [bride], take this man, [groom],
to be my husband and soul mate.
You are the sun that warms my heart,
and the moon that guides me through the darkness.
Till death do us part.

Next, the new couple exchanges their rings.

 Registrar: "The Metalworks would like to present the following to our couple."

 Registrar: "Those rings were forged by Fatimah, the finest goldsmith in Bastok."
            "At a glance, they resemble nothing more than ordinary ornaments."
            "However, do not be fooled by appearances. Within the twin rings lies a great power. Do you understand what power I am speaking of?"

Both groom and bride reply "yes" and equip the rings on the left hand.

Registrar gives a speech furthermore.

 Registrar: "Excellent.
            "As long as there is love in your hearts, may these tokens protect you always."

After the exchange of the wedding rings, "toast" begins.

 Registrar: "Now, I would like to make a toast to the bright future that lies before our couple."
            "Please take out your drinks.

When the registrar speaks out the above dialogue, attendees may prepare the grape juice.

Here, the registrar will announce:

 Registrar: "Is everyone ready? Together now, to the newlyweds!"

And the attendees shall cheer the new couples and say "To the newlyweds!" Then use the grape juice.

Afterwards, the couple are officially announced husband and wife.

The registrar will give closing dialogue for the ceremony.

 Registrar: "Congratulations. With those present here bearing witness, and by the power vested in me by the Republic of Bastok, I now pronounce you husband and wife."
            "You are all now officially permitted to eat, drink, sing, and have a joyous night!"

The groom and bride will salute the attendees.

Attendees may bless the new couples with crackers and hand clapping.
