Dial-up connection setup for PlayOnline service

The followings are how to set up a network using the dial-up connection.
Select the "Dial-up Connection (Modem)"

-ISP
"User ID (Account)"
Enter the Provider ID(Provider Account) or User ID (User Account) assigned by the Internet service provider. Make sure the differences between the upper and the lower cases.

"Set password"
If you select "Not set," you need to enter the password whenever connecting to the PlayOnline. If you select "Save," your password will be stored in the HDD and it is unnecessary to retype the password.

"Password"
Enter the password assigned from the Internet service provider. If you select "Not set" in the "Set Password," it is unnecessary to enter at the first setup.

"Access number"
Enter the access point phone number provided by the ISP.

-DNS Server
If you have DNS Server Address (Domain Name Server Address) from an Internet service provider, select "Do not acquire automatically." Enter the assigned value and enter the Secondary DNS server as well. If there is nothing specified, select an option, "Acquire automatically."

-Auxiliary Settings
MTU Value Setup includes detailed information about the PlayOnline Data Communication. You can connect the line using the defalt setup without a problem, however, you can adjust the setup if you wish.

-Modem 1
"Dialing method"
There are 2 kinds of the method in the phone line: tone and pulse. After checking the phone line, select a setup.

"Modem volume"
Set up a volume of a speaker builted in a modem when connecting a line.

"Wait for dial tone"
It sets up a timing of a modem to start dial operation. Normally set as "Enable." For further information, contact your phone company.

"Outside line code"
If you need to dial "0", "#" etc. to switch to call outside, enter an appropriate numeric number or a mark in the Outside line code column.

"Disable call waiting"
If you are using "Call Waiting" service, please input the number which disables this service here.

-Modem 2
Settings here allows you to configure specific settings for your modem. In most cases, there is no need to complete this area, but some providers require it. Please refer to the manual for your Internet service provider.

-Modem 3
Settings here allows you to configure advanced modem settings. Please consult the documentation for your Internet service provider.

-Proxy Setup
If your Internet service provider specify a proxy server setup values, enter them accordingly.
